COVID Response Policies for In Clinic Visits

PreService Screening Checklist

We will be asking you a few questions before we take your child into the therapy room:

In the past two weeks, have you or anyone in your family been diagnosed with, or been in contact with anyone with Covid 19, Influenza or any other communicable condition?

Do you have any of the following symptoms:
  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
If you answer YES to any of the above questions, we would be happy to see you through telepractice until your exposure risk is diminished.  Just let us know and we'll see you online!

When You Arrive

  1. CURBSIDE SERVICE! Please pull into a parking space and call to let us know you have arrived. Our office number is 770-974-2424. We will also be on the lookout for you at your appointment time!  
  2. Please wait in your car until a staff member comes to meet you. Please do not leave the parking lot while your child is in our care. ​The waiting room is closed for now.
  3. We will be taking the temperature of everyone who will be entering the clinic.  We have touchless thermoscans that will read your temperature in approximately 1 second!

  • All adults entering the clinic will be required to wear a face covering.  If you don't have a face mask, just let us know and we will provide one! Your therapist will be wearing a mask during the entire interaction with you and your children.
  • Patients who are able to wear a face covering will be asked to do so.  We understand many of our patients cannot tolerate face coverings. If this is the case, please consider whether telepractice is a better option for you at this time.  If not, no worries, we will be taking extra precautions with your child in these circumstances, including additional cleaning before and after the session. Your session time will be slightly less to allow for this.
  • Our front restroom is available for emergencies. Please come in the front door and let us know so we can disinfect after you leave.
  • You may come in to the front counter to pay your co-pay or invoice. You may also simply continue to pay through your email invoice as many of you have been doing during telepractice.
We love your children, we promise, and we want to keep them safe!

Patient Considerations

Patients will need to be able to tolerate having their temperature taken and  staying in contact with their therapist at all times.  If your child is at risk for running away from their therapist, loves to explore by wandering, or investigates items by putting hands and objects in their mouths, we will need to continue providing services by telepractice at this time. ​For now, if your child needs you during the session, we will bring them out to your car and plan a makeup session.
