Amalia is originally from Rapid City SD. She attended the University of Minnesota where she received a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and a Master of Arts degree in Speech Language Pathology.  She moved to Georgia with her husband and two children in 2009. She has experience working in a variety of settings, including preschools, elementary schools, skilled nursing facilities, and an adult day program. She has provided speech and language therapy for children and adults with various diagnoses including receptive and expressive language delay, articulation and phonological disorders, apraxia, pragmatic language disorders, autism spectrum disorders, Rett Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and Visual/Hearing Impairments.

She has been with Dynamic Therapy Associates for 9 years, where, in addition to providing speech and language therapy, she specializes in the evaluation and implementation of augmentative and alternative communication systems. In her spare time Amalia enjoys spending time with family and watching movies. She looks forward to working with individuals and families from various backgrounds to meet their communication needs. ​
