Heather is a native "Georgia Peach" with a strong passion for Speech-Language Pathology. She has two energetic young boys her keep her hopping when she's not here taking care of our families at DTA! Heather graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and transitioned to the University of West Georgia where she received her Master’s of Education in Speech-Language Pathology. She has experience working with children in the public-school system and a hospital pediatric outpatient rehabilitation clinic serving children with speech-language, feeding and swallowing disorders. She has experience evaluating and treating a varied caseload of infants and young children with complex medical diagnoses. Heather's interest in working with clients using AAC was sparked during her graduate program where she had the opportunity to work with several students with complex communication needs. In her spare time, Heather enjoys fun outings/activities with her children and family, boating at the lake, theatre and concerts, and binge watching favorite tv shows!
