Lisa obtained both her Bachelors and Masters Degree from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. Prior to working at DTA, Lisa worked in a variety of settings,  providing speech therapy to both children and adults. She began her AAC journey in an outpatient clinic for a Children's Hospital, where she gained experience with evaluating, treating, and training patients, families, and staff with low to high-tech devices. Lisa also had the opportunity to assist in starting an AAC clinic servicing both children and adults in a private practice setting.

During her free time, she enjoys taking daily walks, reading, listening to music/podcasts, traveling with her daughter for soccer, and being outdoors in nature as much as possible.
