We offer workshops at your facility on a variety of AAC focused subjects.  We can provide single and multi-day workshops at your location with unlimited participants.  We offer the following workshops or,  we can customize a workshop to match your specific audience.  Give us a call to discuss your needs and plan your training! Talking with Technology:  AAC 101

A 1 day workshop introducing the basic concepts of AAC, discussing AAC Myths, AAC Users's Skills and Competencies, Components of AAC and, Equipment and Vocabulary Organization.  Participants will have hands on equipment trials with several different devices and AAC apps.

AAC Implementation Tips & Tools

A 1 day workshop introducing AAC implementation planning and device setup to match an AAC user's communication system to their current needs and environments.  Additional tools, tips and techniques will be introduced to enhance AAC learning in all environments.  This workshop can be customized to address home, community or school environments

AAC Evaluation & Goals Development

A 1 day workshop introducing a systematic process for AAC evaluation and goals development with an end goal of comprehensive communication across all environments

AAC Vocabulary Organization: App and Device Decision Making

A  unique AAC workshop designed to teach participants the multiple language representation methods available on commercially available speech generating devices and apps.  Participants will be able to match an individual's characteristics to the most appropriate AAC system.  An understanding of available language organization options assists professionals in evaluation of the quality and applicability of AAC options.

AAC Services In Schools

A half-day workshop describing an organized approach to provision of comprehensive AAC services in the school environment.  Discussion will include introduction of a systematic process for assessing students, tools for acquiring equipment and, training and materials sharing.

AAC for Individuals with Significant Sensory, Motor and Cognitive Challenge

AAC for our patients who need us the most!  This workshop looks at AAC options and techniques for non-speaking patients with sensory impairment, deaf-blindness and significant motor impairments.  We discuss multiple access options including eye gaze, scanning and touch access accommodations.  Special considerations are discussed with techniques and tools to meet specific needs.
