Looking for Something? Take a Quick Walk Through the DTA Schools Website

Last week, I promised a quick walkthrough of the DTA Schools Resources & Materials website—and Stephanie got it done!
We’ve added and updated a lot of materials this year, and we know that sometimes the challenge isn’t having resources…it’s finding the right one when you need it. This walkthrough is designed to help our members see what’s available, where things live, and how to get to materials that can support instruction without spending a lot of time searching.
What’s New This Year?
As you explore the site, you’ll notice that we’ve been doing more than simply adding new activities. We’ve also been going back through many of our existing resources and adding supports to make them easier to put into practice.
Depending on the resource, you may now find:
ELA standards suggestions to help connect activities to classroom instruction
AAC communication boards with core and activity-specific vocabulary
Start-Up Tips for Teachers with some quick guidance before you begin
Updated visual recipes and science experiments
AAC BINGO games
Core word books
Daily Little Lessons for short, focused instruction
And all-new themes with materials you can use across classroom activities
We’ve been working especially hard to make the materials more useful for the people who actually have to implement them. Our goal is for you to be able to find something, print it or display it, and have enough support built in to know where to start.
Take the Website Walk-Through
Stephanie walks you through the site and shows you where to find the different types of resources we’ve been adding and updating.
If you’re new to the DTA Schools website—or you haven’t explored it in a while—this is a good place to start.

And then go explore! There’s quite a bit that’s new this school year, with more updates coming as we move through each month.
